I have been following drunken Dover driver, Baum’s case, who killed two young girls while they were walking along Kinnelon road on April 20, 2006. It seems a straight case of murdering two innocent teen agers by a drunk driver but the defence attorney tried very hard to prove the man innocent by saying that he was so addicted to Alcohol that he drank without realizing the consequences and ran over the girls without sensing what he did.
Baum has confessed to being drunk on vodka when the car he was driving struck and killed cousins Mayada Jafar, 15, of Kinnelon and Athear Jafar, 16, of Jefferson as they walked along Kinnelon Road on April 20, 2006.
Can anybody be given any concession if he/she is drunk while committing a crime. The person committing a crime while drunk should be punished severely because he has not only committed a crime rather committed it unknowingly due to higher dosage of alcohol.
How long would Alchohol stay legal and let humanity suffer?
I am relieved to see that the offender has been found guilty on all charges.
